April FoOl’s day… is by definition our day.

How are we going to celebrate it? You guessed it. We have quite a few releases.

We have Gintama, Hantsuki, Kannagi, Tonagura and of course Hayate.

Proof Readers

proof reading neededProof readers always seem to be mentioned last, so this time I’ll thank them first. Without them, we would be embarrassed to release our chapters. What do proof readers do? Just checking grammar and spelling mistakes and otherwise nod to give their consent? That’s by far not what they do. More importantly – since translators are likely to fall into the language patterns of the language they translate from – proof readers help rewording the translated sentences in order to make them sound more natural, while retaining the same meaning.

Z-Virus, highwind and ZeroXH are our most valuable proof readers. Especially Z-Virus has the incredible ability to be finished with the exams a few days ago and proof read half a dozen chapters in just one day, pointing out numerous mistakes (which puts us editors and translators to shame xD). highwind on the other hand was always reliable and responsive. Quote of the day:

(16:18:50) Z-Virus: “The cat’s pyjamas” is a phrase meaning “great”.
(16:18:52) Z-Virus: What.
(16:19:00) Z-Virus: Dictionaries can sure teach you interesting things at times…

Gebakkenvis (aka fishy) also – for the first time – helped with scanlation by proof reading the two Hantsuki chapters, after he has tagged along with FoOlRulez for the last two years.

And I thank also all the proofers who has proofed past chapters.

Not all of our editors had the chance to work on this release. I’d like to thank them for the past endeavors as well.

    It’s my favourite Anime number one but nobody ever thought of translating the manga!
    I am so happy ;_;

    Nicely done on the Hayate. English translation on the cover and omake to lure us in, but then a whole smörgåsbord of languages to follow (which I felt the need to add too). I assume this means the real chapter will be coming soon.

    Hmm…the Hayate chapter I just downloaded was a regular english scanlation, but it sill had the credits page with all the other languages. I guess they’ve uploaded the real deal now.

    Page 19 isn’t chinese.. that’s tagalog! how dare you guys trick us and then say that the language is chinese? chinese isn’t a language you sneaky awesome scan crew!! geez….please honor my language by telling them it is not chinese! It’s tagalog on page 19!!! hoy! tagalog yan!!

    ^ Sorry, it was originally planned to be Chinese, but the translator translated it into Tagalog and we forgot to change that

    Really the mix of languages own3dme, but at least, the chapter becomes the best topic of the day with my friends (even, they askme for the chapter for try understand the most of they can XD)…

    And I only understand the spanish and latin pages (but master=>magister, or it only aply to “Negima!” ? XD)

    Spanish-Speaking people left commetns, Vetto so happy T.T, even if it’s Spain Spanish it’s still kind of interesting, ever since I went to the US I have kind of forgotten that people translate manga into Spanish too, I prefer the English ones though.

    Well even if it’s Argentian or Colombian is categorize as Spain-Spanish because you use vosotros, the one that use usted and the such is Latin-American Spanish, even if Argntina is in latinamerica.
