K-On! Volume 2 Chapters 1 – 2 – 3 – 4
Good afternoon.
Upon my decision, due to a general liking in the group, I decided that the group should scanlate K-On!
We know there’s already two or even three groups working on it, and at this point, we add up to the mass. Of course, we believe our releases are, not only faster, but also of a higher in quality. But which scan group doesn’t?
If you saw the notice for K-ON yesterday – sorry, we used the chapter numbering on mangahelpers, which is wrong… and didn’t notice that there were two chapters that weren’t translated yet. So, we placed a pair of chapters on top of our list and did them. Also, this means there are further chapters ready to release, so check the website tomorrow too!

On chapter 2, “Hotchkiss” is probably actually a reference to the stapler brand. In (some parts of?) Japan, a stapler is commonly called a Hotchkiss.

um, what’s with the page numbers? there’s huge gaps between all of the chapters except for between 3 and 4…
are there missing chaps in between?
um, one more question, why do the page numbers from [FoOlRulez]K-on_16 (which was uploaded before) have the same page numbers as [FoOlRulez]K-On_Vol2_ch03 from today? are some from volume raws and others from magazine raws or something?
I am confused as to how to order these chapters, since I rename files based on the page number on the scans, but on these files they have the same page numbers for different chapters…

The reason is that in retrospect, we found out that we can neither rely on the numbering of the other scanlators before us nor on the numbering of the raws. That’s why we re-released a few of the chapters we temporarily released yesterday with a new numbering scheme, starting with volume 2 chapter 1 and so on. The confusing chapter numbering was also the reason why we stalled the release for a bit, because it became apparent that two chapters were not scanlated before the chapter we started at yet.

so, this batch of releases has the right pg numbers and the older batch (which was taken down) has incorrect page numbers, right?
also, thanks a lot for scanlating k-on! I love 4koma series; shame not many groups scan them…

Delete the chapters we released on saturday.
Page numbers are wrong, even in this correct release, as they’re taken from two different RAWs, one is the volume, the other… don’t ask me, but it has more coloured pages. Might be the magazine…
In other words, use some renamer to change the page numbers in bulk.
