The Manga Reader

at

I’m talking about this nifty tool that allows you to read our releases. You can also find it in the header menu. I found that it is underappreciated IMO, especially considering that sites like onemanga or mangafox are getting so much more users than the reader we offer directly at our site.

Why should you use our online reader instead of the one of onemanga?

  • It shows the newest releases right away.
  • Since we encode the images we show on our reader ourselves, the image quality and resolution is far better than the one you get at the usual manga sites who compress the images to minimize their traffic.
  • It doesn’t load the entire web page when you want to go to the next page. Instead, only the image file is exchanged. You don’t have to wait for the whole page to build up itself.
  • More than just exchanging the image file, it also preloads the next page while you are still reading the current one. That way, at a normal reading speed, you hardly have to wait for the next page to load, since it’s already preloaded.
  • You can use left and right arrow keys to browse a page backward or forward besides just clicking on the “prev” and “next” buttons or the image itself!
  • We will get a warm and fuzzy feeling knowing that people visit our page to view our releases. Especially for me, since I coded the reader myself.
  • You will indirectly support us to pay for the webserver by generating some ad revenue.
  • So, if you experience issues with the manga reader or suggestions for improvement, tell me! If not, use the reader if you don’t have the habit to download the releases!

LOL, I feel the same, too.

There must be something stupid going on. I mean, they’ve already been here to umm… “check the release?” or whatever damned thing they had to look at, then they go AWAY from your site to read your releases, even when you’re already providing an online reader.

I prefer mediafire/megaupload (and sometimes IRC), though. Nothing better than reading (or watching) stuffs when your internet suddenly sunk into the sea of whatnot.

I do prefer the reader here, but sometimes it loads slowly for me (not really sure why) and if I want to quickly scan a chapter, the page size actually is a disadvantage.
I end up using onemanga more because I visit that site to check on other series I read, and notice “oh, foolz put up a new HnG and K-ON…guess I’ll read…”.

      DAMN RIGHT
haha for your releases i read here too cause its quicker and i want to give the people who work here on the mangas the “warm and fuzzy feeling” XD

I normally get the download because my internet sucks that it takes forever to actually load the pictures here, and so start the download, go get some food, for like 15 minutes and it’ll be finished when I’m back.

Unless I’m lazy then I’ll go to OM because like you said, its lower quailty, so it doesn’t take 1 minute for each page.

Also I get really lazy and NoScript kinda gets in the way of your manga reader.

But mostly, like I said, I try to get the download from here.

i think it will be good if you dl/ translate the previous chapters of manga.

like, we only have so many chapters of HnG, and if someone wanted to read the series from the start, they would go to onemanga.

at least post the raws or sth….

      i dunno
it’s not like you guys would do it anyway.

well, i never use the reader, i think
      i use onemanga
      sorry.

With the FoOl’s releases, it depends on how many other manga I read are updated when I check it out. If it’s just you guys, I read it here.

      Your manga reader > OneManga

Unfortunately, the 2 page spreads are usually so large that they won’t display on an iPod, so I have to use OneManga sometimes. There’s also no quick way to go back a page on an iPod since it lacks a left arrow and that “prev” button is so dang small, but those are minor inconveniences.
