Hayate no Gotoku! chapter 150

Hayate no Gotoku! chapter 150

There’s more hayate for you guys. But first as usual a little of life story.

It’s 40°C here, I am back in Italy, and I am now going to the swimming pool. Yes. While you read that very manga think of a guy enjoying the cold water under the hottest sun. Also, I had no dejavù today, nor I think that’s a masses pool rather than a public pool. Reference to anime intended.

Just in last 3 days I had 6 people whining about our release speed, saying even that we release one chapter every 2 weeks. If you check the things straight, we’re still releasing two chapters of HnG a week if not more, if you consider that the Hayate 000 oneshot was twice more timetaking than a normal chapter.
Please, stop this trend. Not like we care, but who posts that we’re being slow just looks stupid to us.

I blame Necro for the delay, wallowing in his sinful and deviant gains from that dastardly gathering of the greatest fiends known to man, the otakus >:O

hey thanks for the hard work foolz, and I didn’t notice any slow down, neither.
Maybe it is just that there was no Shonen Jump, therefore they feel there is less manga in their life, and without a motive come complain with you… just ignore them, thing that you sure had been doing for a while

Hey, just wanted to say thanks to everyone at FoolRulez who works on these manga. (Can’t find a better place for it…) I started reading Hayate no Gotoku around a year ago, and you’ve always been consistent in releasing an absolute minimum of a chapter a week – I don’t know why people would be complaining about the slowness ._.

Although this comment will be lost in one way or another, please keep up the good work! It’s nice having something to look forward to weekly =)

    :o

    ;)

I consider the complaints about slowness just a mark of people loving and appreciating the work done…unless it’s overly annoying or entitled-sounding as it usually ends up sounding.

I think we’d all love it faster, but consistent, quality work like you’ve been doing makes it all worth more than a bit of a wait when necessary. Thanks for all the work to everyone involved and hope to see many more chapters from you all in the future!

Not to be an asshole, but:

“…we’re still releasing two chapters of HnG a week if not more…”

is simply not true. Here’s the number of releases by duration (according to onemanga):

    Since 2 weeks ago (August 12, 2009)
    1 release = 1/2 release per week

    Since 4 weeks ago (July 29, 2009)
    3 releases = 3/4 release per week

    Since 8 weeks ago (July 1, 2009)
    9 releases = 1 1/8 releases per week

    Since 12 weeks ago (June 3, 2009)
    14 releases = 1 1/7 releases per week

Even looking at it since 12 weeks ago, you never reached the “2 releases per week” claim. And this past 4 weeks, you guys have released less than one per week. Now, don’t get me wrong. I love your work and I don’t mind it if you guys take a lot of time on it – the releases are very high quality so it’s well worth the wait. I just don’t like it when people make clearly false claims.

        March: 6 releases
        June : 6 releases
        July: 5 releases +2 re-releases
August: 6 releases (counting oneshot as 3 releases because of the size/load of work). +1 re-release

We’re going to release 151 today or tomorrow, so 7 on August.

Even though it’s true it’s not 2, we’re keeping up around 1.5 per week. Then, also some of the re-releases take time, because it’s about fixing mistakes to get an even better quality.

Don’t like it? Go check someone else’s stats.

You sound angry, which is why I’m going to have to repeat myself:

“Now, don’t get me wrong. I love your work and I don’t mind it if you guys take a lot of time on it – the releases are very high quality so it’s well worth the wait. I just don’t like it when people make clearly false claims.”

    • woxxy says:

But but… my claim wasn’t clearly false!

With the last line of my previous post I didn’t really mean to you, but yeah, you know, it pisses off greatly when you translate a manga fast enough and people will tell you that you’re slow when we’re basically releasing at the same pace for over a year now.

In other words, I was raging in general, not over your words. “Go check someone else’s stats” to me meant “others are slower than us anyway”.
