I am finally done with the main interface.

There’s not much explanation needed on what it is: it’s an anime recommendation system, that gathers data so it can tell you which anime you would like watching. It uses a more or less complex algorithm to compare what you like and what others like, and with some statistics is able to give you the desired result.

The answers is often different, there’s a little randomization to it, just to not bore you with the same animes: there’s so many anime you should watch that it doesn’t make much of a difference.

This said, here’s the link to the incredible machine:

You can just post your results in here if you want!

    1. Me says:

      my results:
      Death Note
      Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen
      Princess Mononoke
      Spirited Away
      Cowboy Bebop
      Haibane Renmei
      Ouran High School Host Club
      Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Kara no Kyoukai 5: Mujun Rasen
      Howl’s Moving Castle

Now was it worth entering all the anime I watched into MAL for this?

I love it even more now. Nj guys.

Next version maybe a little button to omit the result and make the next on the list show up?

    3. JAhU says:

I went and made a more or less accurate list (i skipped a few unimportant titles, most music videos and extras). I got :

      Death Note (semiaccurate)
Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen (probably something I could watch)
      Clannad ~After Story~ (nah)
ef – a tale of memories. (not my type of anime)
ef – a tale of melodies. (same as above)
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai (I got reasons NOT to watch this)
      Mushishi (probably an accurate hit)
Honey and Clover II (possibly something for me)
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (noes)
Ouran High School Host Club (maybe)

      Another try :

Whisper of the Heart (I’m ok with Ghibli)
      Clannad (I’ll pass)
      Nodame Cantabile (maybe)
      Kanon (2006) (probably nah)
      Higashi no Eden (probably yes)

Conclusion : An interesting recommendation system, but it usually gives me like 50% of interesting titles and some anime (not necessarily to accurate ones) are there with every time.

It’s funny seeing the suggestions getting more appropriate.

    5. Kokuyoku says:

      Ended up with:

      Mushishi – Pretty reliable.
Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen – No idea what brought this up
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann – Was actually thinking of watching this but delayed it this season
Great Teacher Onizuka – Watched the first episode and DID NOT WANT.
      Princess Mononoke – No idea.
      Death Note – ….RAGE….
Cowboy Bebop – Thought about a long time ago, but my preferences changed over time
Aria the Origination – Not sure about this, why the matter it recommended me the 3rd season.
Baccano! – Intresting, might give it a shot.
Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger – No. Just No. Anything sports-based is out of the question.

So a pretty bad list overall.
