It's linear in terms of how to play, where to go. I love the chain break idea and optima change. Not a big fan of the grid (crystalarium). No levels (except for weapons and items). I'd say it's nice. Play it if you're a fan of FF but I don't think it's on par with some of the FF greats. I am waiting for XIII versus and XIV and XV now :P Graphics are great.
