In need of translators

In need of translators

In these last weeks our translators have had their schedules filled by work, making them mostly unavailable for translation.

In order to fix this sluggishness and the imminent lockdown of releases, we’re recruiting new translators. It’s a pretty dramatic situation (gasp), which means we’ll be rather loose with our judgment.

You will be able to pick any of our projects to translate (besides Sora no Otoshimono, Seitokai Yakuindomo, Nusunde Lilith, Zero no Tsukaima and Tonnura-san). You won’t be able to pick up any new projects either, as our current objective is to complete some of those that we’re already working on.

Do note that you will need to be proficient in Japanese and reasonable with expression in English. We can fix your English translations, but we’ll have difficulty proofreading sentences that you might have misunderstood. You have to be okay with the proofreaders fixing your grammar, questioning confusing parts of the translation and generally butchering your translation.
We translate all the SFX on the page, so you’d have to translate every single SFX (there’s an onomatopoeia dictionary for this).

Last but not least: you can’t be part of any other team, as we’ll be giving you enough work to satisfy your desire to contribute to scanlation.

If you think you fit the bill (even if you don’t plan to work with us for long), then by all means email me at recruiting[atto]foolrulez[dotto]org. We’ll arrange a translation test using some new, never-before-translated material to decide if your skills suit our team’s needs.

Everytime I see something like this I feel worthless! I want to help so much. I am going to start learning Japanese so if you give me five or six years…
