Kannagi back in a month!

On the 27th of next month, July, Kannagi will restart serialization. As the article says, three chapters will be released month by month, and then, due to the conditions of the author, it will slow down to a chapter every two or three months.

Also, since it’s been licensed by Bandai, we will have to block visualization and download from USA, in order not to damage the publishers.

Personally, I can’t wait to work again on my favorite manga. We will deliver as soon as possible.

It’s been 366 days of scanlations!

9/8, our first scanlation release. It’s not the day FoOlRulez was created, but for the group we have now, it’s the day that started to change the basis of FoOlRulez from gaming to… what you see we are now. Evolution I’d say.

Shall you know that 184 releases in 366 days means one release every 1.989 days.

But instead of giving a long talk, we’ll just scream with facts: a giantic release!

Kannagi chapter 33 released!

Sadly, this manga is coming nearer to the hiatus.

Let me say a thing about the hiatus: many people like to gossip in a negative way on why there was this hiatus. Many said that it was because otakus didn’t like the fact that Nagi wouldn’t be a virgin.

This doesn’t match with what chapters say. It’s mere trolling and is false. The truth is that the mangaka was seriously ill. She had to get surgery. It’s been few months and seems now she will continue her work. Yet, this means we won’t see this manga out for months.

For now, let’s not milk the last releases we’ll bring out. Kannagi chapter 33:

Kannagi chapter 29

It’s been exactly two weeks since the last Kannagi chapter. We are starting with volume 6 now, not many to go until we reach the last chapter before hiatus…

Starting with this chapter, Necrophantasia is having his debut in translating a manga. Unlike me, he doesn’t only understand English and Chinese, but also Japanese, so his translations should be much more accurate than mine. If you want to thank him… he will be ecstatic if you visit his blog.
The editor is the same as last time, Middleground, and I already heard people praise him for his exceptional ways of inserting SFX!
Of course, don’t forget Z-Virus as proof reader. He does a great job whenever he isn’t indulging himself in video games and H! I! N! A! HINAGIKU! seizures :p

April FoOl’s release

April FoOl’s day… is by definition our day.

How are we going to celebrate it? You guessed it. We have quite a few releases.

We have Gintama, Hantsuki, Kannagi, Tonagura and of course Hayate.

Proof Readers

Proof readers always seem to be mentioned last, so this time I’ll thank them first. Without them, we would be embarrassed to release our chapters. What do proof readers do? Just checking grammar and spelling mistakes and otherwise nod to give their consent? That’s by far not what they do. More importantly – since translators are likely to fall into the language patterns of the language they translate from – proof readers help rewording the translated sentences in order to make them sound more natural, while retaining the same meaning.

Z-Virus, highwind and ZeroXH are our most valuable proof readers. Especially Z-Virus has the incredible ability to be finished with the exams a few days ago and proof read half a dozen chapters in just one day, pointing out numerous mistakes (which puts us editors and translators to shame xD). highwind on the other hand was always reliable and responsive. Quote of the day:

(16:18:50) Z-Virus: “The cat’s pyjamas” is a phrase meaning “great”.
(16:18:52) Z-Virus: What.
(16:19:00) Z-Virus: Dictionaries can sure teach you interesting things at times…

Gebakkenvis (aka fishy) also – for the first time – helped with scanlation by proof reading the two Hantsuki chapters, after he has tagged along with FoOlRulez for the last two years.

And I thank also all the proofers who has proofed past chapters.

Not all of our editors had the chance to work on this release. I’d like to thank them for the past endeavors as well.

Here is some more Kannagi. Filler chapter, hehe. Volume 5 almost complete!

I’m kinda disappointed that more than 500 people downloaded from the mediafire link for Kannagi 26 from a few days ago, but only 8 people bothered to leave a comment… If I didn’t check the mediafire statistics and knew better, I would have thought that Kannagi isn’t popular at all.
