This chapter was hilarious at editing, because the new editor Wokka is damn good with cleaning… but he overdid it a bit, maybe. Basically all original SFX are gone. Furthermore, there were more SFX than ever…

Still, we still took 5 days more than planned. Blame our very filled timetables as the engineers, literates, artists and scientists we are. I was just realizing lately that more than half FoOlRulez is composed by engineers, undergraduates and graduated.

And we hardly ever talk about it. University is bad.

But this is a SnO release. So after we burned DAYS over this chapter, all of us, preventing us from studying and/or working… ok I said enough bullshit at this point.

PS: I’ve been doing test. Optipng is really useless if you’re already saving in PNG8 perceptual. I will remove support for Optipng in FoOlSlide, as it’s not worth having such a disastrous and dangerous feature for just 3% bandwidth saving at most (and less than 1% in average).
It’d save more bandwidth to store an optimized 900px width version of every page. 900px is an optimal width for reading in a browser. But that makes FoOlSlide use nearly twice the hard disk space… decisions, decisions…

Which means we edited it twice.

And now, a thing that was a bit spicy, and that made us discuss about what to do with it for two months. Spice and Wolf is a licensed manga, but just in certain nations. That’s why I coded a DAMN HUGE system in order to make so the nations involved (basically, USA), wouldn’t be able to download Spice and Wolf.

We’ll officially still work on it, but we won’t distribute it to USA. All other nations, where Spice and Wolf isn’t available at all, will be able to read our scanlations.
