So I watched the movie this morning , it was gorgeous, totally awesome, totally awesmoe, it was really cool.I'm a Kara no Kyoukai fanboy but not a Nasu one, I never watched any other stuff he wrote.It makes me want to check it out even more when I'll get the time. This movie skipped a lot of story and it was fight after fight after fight, which was okay to me because even if I never watched the anime or played Fate/Stay Night, over the course of the years, especially 2 years ago when I started watching KnK and started lurking at Beast Lair to read stuff about it, I also read some stuff about Fate/Stay in the kitchen, so I knew most of what was going on clearly in the movie.

Spoiler for Hiden:
For example, like how Lancer survived when he pierced himself, I read some time ago he has the qualifications to be summonned as Berseker's class(and that Berserkers got the ability to survive death 6 or 7 times iirc) so it wasn't a surpirse for me he wasn't down.They didn't said it in the movie.And I also knew already that Shiro was Archer.I also know Sakuya is an important char in Heaven's Feel but not is this one that's why they only showed her twice.Also back to the last scene with Lancer, I recognized the rune he used to cast fire, it was the same one Touko used in KnK 4. And the way Gilgamesh ripped off Illya's heart also was similar to KnK5. They also only glanced at the history between Caster and that guy.I don't really know about this one though.I didn't even know Caster existed.I knew about all the others though.
Damn it was so awesome.You guys watch it if you didn't.

As I don't have the time to play the game or search around beast Lair for now I'll just rely on my 6th family(you guys) I hope there's a Type moon fan here.I'm sure these are not plotholes but they just didn't care to explain so i'd like an explanation about:
Spoiler for Hiden:
-At the beginning Lancer stabs Shiro with Gae Bolg, at the end he says that Rin can't heal him because a heart pierced by Gae Bolg canot be healed yet Rin did it to Shiro.

-How come Archer managed to kill Caster?She used the Rule Breaker on him so she was his new master right?Or does it only erase the pact and doesn't make one?If so how come she erased Saber's pact with Shiro and made a pact with her allowing her control.

-I have the same question for Lancer and Kirei. How could he kill him while he was his master?

- to sum up the two question below, basically my question is simple: Can Shiki kill servants? Lol just joking.
                                                           My question is can a Servant attack and/or kill his Master?

As far as I remember, servants can kill their masters, except if the master made some precaution like forbidding them to do so with command seal(s).

I just watched it too and well, it's nice overall, i think i liked it more then the anime, even though the anime did went into the story more, which makes it easier to understand things.

Spoiler for Hiden:
Only this Berserker has to power to revive, others can't revive like that. And i believe all chars can sometimes fit in other roles too, just depends on their personality during there lifetime. http://typemoon.wikia.com/wiki/Servant Read this for more info about the classes

Yeah I'll probably forget about it in a month or so.
I know it wasn't that good, it's because I'm only talking about the fights.If we talk about the story it becomes a plotholed movie.
I was really amazed by the fights.I like stuff without almost any speedlines and nice animation.

I never brought myself to watch the anime, since I really like the Visual Novel. Going from your description I might end up watching this movie sooner or later though, since it used many of the VN's good points. Sakuya not really being a part of the movie's story also is nice, since I really hated her...

The story having so many plotholes is not a problem too, since I know it from the VN. Also, if you liked this you should consider giving the VN a try, it's really awesome. And Princess Waltz too, the fights in there are probably even more awesome.

And i think you like this then Kage, this one follows the unlimated blade works route, the normal anime follows the fate route with a few changes
