Now it's my turn.

Houki
-Pursues strength because she believed Ichika to be doing the same
-Came to realization of her own inner demons when she pursued strength to such lengths as to seriously injure her opponent, leading her to rethink her notion of strength.
-Respected Ichika for being strong and grows frustrated with him when he comes back and is undisciplined and weaker than she idolized him to be.
-Grows frustrated when her lack of personal IS leads her to sit on the sidelines while her companions fight
-Is physically uncomfortable around her sister, displaying what looks like anxiety stemming from either jealousy or shame
-tries to hide her the fact that she is the greatest inventor alive's sister so she can be known for herself
-Displays the most realistic affection. She can get jealous when other women surround him, but can also spend an entire day at the beach away from him contemplating matters that are important to her.

She's a well fleshed out character. Does that means she perfect or original? No. But she does feel more like a real person than the walking stereotypes the others are. She has her own goals and ideas, and isn't around just to try and jerk Ichika's wang. She came to the school on her own to pursue her own goals. If you want to cheat and use personal history then even then no one but Houki is fleshed out to a degree of feeling even a little real. France gets close, and Germany is better than Britian because some is better than none at all.

Of course, this is still a harem, and Houki falls under a stereotype, but she can also feel like a real person.

Without using history? then your analysis is correct for houki, ceci has a nice personality, tits, and mostly comedic... she had an attitude of being displeased with men in general in the series and seems to think men are mostly worthless, until ichika comes along and makes her fall for him.

ceci seemed to not be easy-going until ichika, so she would be a different character without him in the story, we might not even like the serious and haughty Ceci... so if I were ichika and did the same things, then sure, ceci seems like a nice easy-going person with a mild manner and decent attributes, I'd pick her over the others.

However ceci doesn't seem to like men, so we may not even care to look in her general direction if we were ourselves and not ichika...

- Pursues strength, because she was raised to be the ultimate soldier since she was young.
- Had no real childhood, so has no idea regarding anything anyone else would find normal.
- Made obsolete with the creation of IS, loses more worth when she sucks balls, even with nanomachines to increase compatibility.
- Respects/idolizes Chifuyu-nee, b/c she trains her and turns her into the best again, and also happens to be the best pilot in the world, ergo sees her as someone worthy of her respect.
- Sees her beloved instructor has a soft-side, and feels that she's showing weakness with such kindness.  Figures since she's like that b/c of her little brother, he's only holding her back from being great.  Results in hatred for Ichika, who gave her weakness.
- Further unable to accept Ichika, due to his perceived lack of strength
- Believes "partners" in interclass tournament to be useless, since they aren't soldiers like her, so feels they'll only hold her back.
- Falls for Ichika, b/c he displays strength and promises to protect her, changing the image she believed.
