Was thinking of making a new thread for this before I remembered that we already had one. Might still be smart to make a new one once the show starts airing though.

So yeah, looks like they'll do it like in Clannad and just solve each of the girls' routes before the "true" ending. Actually, it'd be really awesome if they did it pretty much 1:1 as in the visual novel.
Also looks like they'll just use the OP song of the VN for the anime. Sounds good to me.
And just going from the looks it, well, looks really good so far. All the characters look like they do in the visual novel, and all in all they seem to stick really close to it. Still feels all weird (but awesome!) too see the characters in motion tbh.
My biggest remaining concerns are that they'll mess up the transition from one "route" to the next.

as I already said, it could actually work if they start over for each route, as long as it doesn't become too "Endless 8"-ish. If they just make Riki solve one girl's problem after another it might turn out iffy, seeing how very emotional most of the routes are.

That problem was solved pretty well in the Clannad animes imo, but is my one and only complain about the anime to Kanon.

My other concern is the ending. I see so many ways to screw this up so terribly that I can't help but worry about it...

So there is a chance that they're going to reset the date every time Riki finishes a route? I think it'd be okay, unless they somehow make it majorly repetitive. Also do you know how they plan to do Refrain? Will they be doing another season for that or just putting it in as the ending episodes. Anyhow cool news this coming season is going to be great ^^

It's just a guess of mine, since I think it could work pretty well.

No idea. Could work either way, even if I have to admit that I'd like a second season simply to have more episodes.
Hm, basic routes as season 1 and Refrain and EX routes as season 2. That would be cool...

But really, could be anything from 12 to 48 episodes in total.

Well I was thinking that they could do 24 episodes for the first season and really do a great job doing to normal routes. Then do Refrain in a second season to whatever episode they like then do the EX routes in some fashion.
