I spoke with Z-Virus. There were a few typos I missed, I was too liberal in my changes--he said often they amounted to "I prefer it this way" and I won't disagree--and sometimes I would have typos in my suggestions. Outside of the middle reason, it all came down to the fact that I considered proofreading and quality checking to be different.
