After performing a System Restore, my subtitles are suddenly playing too fast?

 Hi hi! I have another aggravating tech issue that I can't solve by aggressive Googling!

So anyways, I had a problem a while back that I solved via System Restore. After that was done, I reconfigured CCCP to do whatever it did that allowed me to watch 720P videos in Media Player Classic and....while the video runs perfectly, the subtitles are too fast.

Here's what I know.

-player is Media Player Classic
-fansub for Fate/Zero from UTW works perfectly fine, subtitles are intact
-fansub for Nyaruko-san from HorribleSubs isn't finefine, subtitles are too fast and I need to repeatedly move the progress bar or pause it and then resume it for the subtitles to sync back up....repeatedly
-the problem seems to be isolated to Media Player Classic, since I could play perfectly in Windows Media Player that came with the computer

So any techies out there know what the problem is? I was fine before, but it's after the System Restore that I got screwed over.

Try installing CCCP again, this time deleting all the preferences/cache. And try leaving as many options at default as you can.

 Is this basically uninstalling and then installing CCCP? Or is the bolded part something separate from uninstalling?

Well, when you install it it should ask you whether you want to keep the preferences or not. Delete the suckers.

From what I can tell, your deleted post didn't contribute any extra help and managed to tick off a mod by insulting an anime. The mod is technically in the right in deleting your post, as it could easily be seen as an attempt to find a free chance to insult a show and therefore spam.

I trust the mod won't take insult to future such posts, though.

Oh, I didn't feel insulted, the only thing relevant was the first part you mentioned. The post didn't contribute anything to this thread. The thrash talk (regardless of sarcasm) sure helped in me making the decision to delete that post, but it wasn't the reason per se.

And regarding future such posts, it depends on where they're made. If it's in a spam thread I'll probably be a bit annoyed but ignore it otherwise.
If it's in one of the few non-spammy parts of this forum (and the tech section definitely is one of those imo) I'll delete the post or at least the part in question if there's other helpful stuff in the same post.

I knew you would say this. HorribleSubs always has errors when I try to play it. Another, more respectable team's subs are playing perfectly on Gingy's computer, so why would there be any reason for the issue to NOT be the encode?

For some reason the icons are completely different now though. But that's a minor detail.

I don't know what you mean by different, but you could try going in CCCP Settings -> Next and mess around a bit with the left side of the settings.

It's only different in that the icon looks a bit fatter than the old one, as though it's something new.

Oh, maybe they are new. At points they change the icon for the player.
