It is.
In "The 99th Volume" he said there would be a season three.
But this one looks like it's going to be either filler continuing from the last or a complete rework of the series.
People are not confident in Mangaglobe. And for good reason actually. The movie's characters looked stupid, save nagi.

Hm, "The story of the new anime will be newly written by the manga author".

I somehow get the feeling that means there won't be any real story then...

Or it could be an entirely new arc like the black butler arc in season 1. Speaking of season 1, Himegami has yet to appear in the manga, it was hinted that he is also an important character related to the royal road or something, so I wondered if his character is anything like in the anime or a bit different or even an entirely different character altogether with the anime's Princess God we know.

If they redo the entire first series, I'll be sad but happy.
Happy that mangaglobe is committing to doing the rest, but sad that it's mangaglobe and not JC.
