I notice that Dr.Pepper always translate anime titles to English. It often makes me confused while trying to know what anime he's talking about.

Like now.

What is Corpse Demon again?

EDIT:
nvm, I just googled it.

I try to make my parents watch anime at times. I know for a fact they'd like most of them if they sat down and watched.

This thread is badly split. Remainders of the discussion are still in the other thread, while pieces of the other thread are here. -.-
I implore you to forgive my speaking of English, as I'm not so premium with it.

Sorry, you must beg Darais more to fix it. He's still new at this. *goes back to the shadows*

I recommend showing them some anime that has examples of parenthood as part of the focus...

PapaKiki(it's full name is bloody long), Bunny Drop, or Hanamaru Kindergarten are good examples.

...how well do you think they can tolerate a tiny bit of sexuality? Astarotte's Toy despite it's stated premise is rather sweet and actually focused quite a lot on parenthood believe it or not.

Honestly I was thinking something around the lines of CLANNAD. Astarotte's Toy may be too much knowing how they would react to a loli.

More in-favor for Clannad: After Story than Clannad, in a situation like this.

There are no "remainders" of this discussion in the other thread. The impetus for the thread (the quote in the new first post) is fine remaining, as it is on-topic there. There are OTHER conversations in that thread, though, that I will not split unless someone wants to discuss them in particular (please don't request the split just to be contrary). They flow well in the topic as it is, anyway.

It's been a while since I watched anime with my mom. She does think that some of them are pretty violent but she also know it's not all about that. My big bro and youngest older sister also watch anime since they were kids so yeah. My oldest older sister doesn't watch anime anymore, but since she grew up in France, she still saw some when she was little and know quite a bit about it. Everyone in my family saw some eps if not all eps of Grendizer, City Hunter, Ranma 1/2, Sailor Moon, Saint Seiya etc

I don't watch anime together with my bro and youngest older sis as much as we did 10 years ago or so when Gundam Seed was airing. Back then, my bro downloaded episodes of things and we used to watch everything together. We still do it from time to time but now it's more like each one of us DLs what he wants to see and watch it alone.
Usually these days I only watch stuff with my sis as my bro is busy with work and watches more american shows than anime when he has free time.
This season the only thing we all watched together is the 1st episode of Saint Seiya Omega iirc. I hope we'll watch the rest together too, I've been purposely not watching it so we can all watch it together. I do that often nowadays. That's also one of the reasons I don't watch stuff asap when it airs and am sometimes perceived as someone out of the "loop" or something on IRC and stuff like that. LIke if anime is fashion or something, but I'm getting sidetracked there.

Last show I watched with my sis is Level E, we finished watching it a week ago or so.

Hypocrisy. Aren't they wasting their time telling you to not waste your time?

Not if it's remarks, as opposed to a full-blown rant.
